As someone called to teach people how to read, understand and interpret the Bible full-time, whenever I come across things like this I don’t know whether to laugh, cry, sigh or all of the above…
Some things can only be answered with a picture rather than words…so here is my response:
Facepalm collage...the only way to express the utter foolishness of some things.
It is for brothers and sisters like the person in the above video (or anyone who might for a minute think that any of what he’s saying has actual validity to it!) that I have created and continue to teach Bible for the Rest of Us. Please consider bringing it to your church so that we can slowly but surely put an end to such folk-theology which now, due to technology, can spread farther and faster than ever before among Christians if we are not, as my friend David put it yesterday, “inoculated from stupidity.” Bible for the Rest of Us is my small attempt at just such inoculation! 🙂
