Genesis 18 – Three Men and a (promised) Baby!
Hi Dojo readers, I’ve finally gotten a chance to upload last Tuesday’s video from our ongoing lunchtime Bible study at Ruth’s Chris.
This chapter picks right up where ch. 17 left off and Abraham isn’t the only one laughing at the thought of having a child at his age.
The promise given to him by God about his “seed” is not only reaffirmed, but we also once again see the purpose God had all along in calling Abraham. The faithful obedience of his “seed” will be the means by which all the promises God has made to him are realized…and the implications extend far beyond the pages of the Hebrew scriptures.
Disclaimer: there was a business meeting going on on the other side of restaurant’s dining room, so the voices you hear in the background–as well as the garbage truck that decided to come along a few minutes into the talk–are admittedly somewhat distracting.
