Dojo Art supports great causes!
Hello Dojo readers,
I wanted to let you know that right now I am auctioning off two of my MMA fighter portraits for two great charities! (Also, I’m thrilled to announce that my autographed GSP portrait sold for over $600!!)
My portrait of UFC vet Chris “Kamikaze” Camozzi is being auctioned off with half the proceeds going to Disciple Dojo and the other half going to International Justice Mission, a PHENOMENAL organization that works to free modern day slaves and victims of human trafficking–particularly child sex trafficking–around the world!
“Kamikaze” – 8.5×11 Prismacolor (click on image to go to auction)
The other is my friend and brother in Christ, Justin “The Viking” Wren, who I recently had the pleasure of hanging out with and who is a fan of Art of the Dojo! Justin’s portrait is being auctioned off, again with half going to Disciple Dojo and the other half going to a charity for children battling pediatric cancer called Miracle Party!

As more people in the martial arts world find out about Art of the Dojo, more are becoming interested in doing such charity portraits, so continue letting people know about it, particularly those in the MMA world!
Also, as always, $1 from every print I sell goes to IJM, so head over and buy a couple to decorate your home, office, locker, gym or man-cave!!
I’m currently talking to a number of MMA fighters and Jiujitsu competitors about future charity portraits, including Michelle Waterson and Andre Galvao among others. Follow along with all future projects by “liking” my Facebook page or following me on Twitter.
Lastly, I am doing a special deal right now for anyone looking for something cheaper. For the next few months, I’m offering black-and-white or mono-colored sketch portraits of individuals for only $50!!
“Friends” – 11×8.5 Prismacolor
“In Memory of Nicolas” – 8.5×11 Prismacolor
If someone wants more than one person in a sketch (i.e. a couple or family portrait) it’s only $40 per extra person.
All the proceeds from these sketch portraits go directly to helping me pay my surgery bills from this summer , so not only do you get a great piece of original art that will last forever, but you also help me get back on my feet in the process! It’s a win-win situation…especially with the Holidays soon upon us (I mean, who wouldn’t want an original portrait as a gift instead of something lame from the mall??). 🙂
Thanks for all the support. I’ll continue drawing and ministering if you continue buying and reading/listening!
Blessings from the Dojo,
JM
