Gen.15 – Smoke, Fire…and a weird, bloody ritual

Here is today’s study of Genesis 15 from our weekly lunchtime Bible study at Ruth’s Chris on Fairview.
This foundational chapter in the Bible contains some bizarre imagery. However, once we understand its significance within the world of the ancient Near East, the implications for how we read the rest of the Bible are profound and far-reaching!
Disclaimer: the battery on my camera died with about 5 mins left to go, so if it seems to end somewhat abruptly, my apologies. I thought it was fully charged…I was wrong! 🙂
