Our Ruth’s Chris Bible study is now online! (video)
Hi Dojo readers! I’m really excited to share this new resource with Disciple Dojo’s online community!
Every Tuesday from 12-1pm I lead a lunchtime Bible study at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse here in Charlotte. The owner is a good friend of mine and a supporter who graciously provides a place for us to meet as well as a light lunch each week. It’s his way of giving back and ministering to the community…and it’s awesome!
Previously, the study was led by my good friend Pastor Steve Wright. After leading the study faithfully for years, Steve felt that it was time to hand it off to someone else and he asked if I would be interested. I jumped at the chance because I had been praying for about a year prior that God would open up an opportunity for me to do something similar to what Steve was doing at Ruth’s Chris on Tuesdays! 🙂
I took over back in August of last year and I knew coming in that I wanted to simply walk people through the Bible beginning with the foundation. So we began with Genesis 1:1 and worked our way through the first 11 chapters before taking a break over the holidays. We stared back last week with a recap of Gen. 1-11 and this week, we covered Gen.12–with is EASILY one of the most important chapters in all of Scripture for understanding the big picture story of the whole Bible.
Thanks to another friend from my church who generously donated a digital camcorder, I now have the ability to record each week’s teaching and share it here in the Dojo so that those who aren’t able to make it each week can still follow along!
So grab your Bible, turn to Genesis ch.12, and join us on our weekly journey!
